It took Australia
thirty minutes to score their the opening goal, but led 2-0 at half time
after taking twelve shots toone by New Zealand.
Although New Zealand played hard they no longer can match the experience
and depth of the Australian players. The last few years have demonstrated
the wisdom of their national traning program, and their rise towards the
top level teams in the world has left countries like New Zealand way behind
in women's international soccer arena.
