March 21, 2004 Some top international and ex-WUSA players signed by W-League New Jersey Wildcats
Kelly Smith joins the team for the 2004 season. Smith is well known on the USA soccer scene. She had a record breaking career at Seton Hall University, and three years with WUSA. She is considered the star player of the England National Team.
Anne Makinen
A native of Helsinki, Finland, Makinen won the Hermann Trophy and Missouri Athletic Club Award in 2000 while playing for the University of Notre Dame. She has been a member of the Finland National Team since she was sixteen.
Heather O'Reilly
She was the national high school player of the year in 2002, winning the award from the Gatorade Circle of Champions, National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and Parade Magazine.
O'Reilly a standout player at the University of North Carolina, was a member of the first FIFA World Champion U.S. Under-19 National Team in 2002. She has been a regular for the U.S. National Team since 2003, and preparing to travel to China with the U.S. Under-21 National Team.
